launched initiative to support Sudanese hospitals

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The For Sudan Organization has successfully carried out its initiative to support Sudanese hospitals with essential medical equipment. The first phase of this initiative began approximately four months ago.

The organization’s members made significant efforts to ensure its success by engaging with Swiss hospitals and relevant institutions inside and outside Sudan, in addition to financial contributions and continuous coordination meetings.

  • The first batch of equipment was obtained from a Swiss hospital three months ago, followed by additional high-quality, high-value medical devices donated by other hospitals.

  • The equipment received includes operating room machines, intensive care equipment, oxygen devices, ECG machines, blood analysis systems, ultrasound devices, modern operating beds, and other equipment that we believe will provide substantial support to Sudan’s healthcare sector.

  • The estimated value of this equipment is around 1.5 million Swiss francs.

  • All devices and equipment have been shipped in a 40-foot container.

The organization ensured ongoing communication with the Sudanese Ministry of Health during its delegation’s visit to Geneva last May, in order to guarantee that the selected equipment meets the needs of Sudanese hospitals and aligns with required standards.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the implementation and success of this major initiative, and we ask Allah to reward them abundantly.
We also express our gratitude to the Swiss hospitals that supported this important effort.

By the grace and mercy of Allah, the equipment has arrived at Port Sudan. We are now preparing to launch this initiative, which will serve as the foundation for a continuous, long-term project.
