📍 HRC Side Event Participation – Geneva

On 26 February 2026, For Sudan Organization took part in a side event held at the Permanent Mission of Sudan to the United Nations in Geneva, alongside the 61st session of the Human Rights Council.

The event, titled “Protection of Civilians in the Context of Violations of International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights, and Women’s Rights in Sudan,” brought together key experts and leaders to discuss urgent challenges facing civilians in Sudan.

🎤 Distinguished speakers included:
H.E. Sultan Saad Abdel Rahman Bahr El-Din, Dr. Salima Ishaq Mohamed Al-Khalifa, H.E. Ambassador Hassan Hamed, and Mr. Mohamed Abakar Al-Dagou.

🤝 Our participation focused on:
• Engaging in discussions on civilian protection and human rights violations
• Highlighting the impact on women’s rights
• Connecting with experts and stakeholders in the humanitarian and human rights fields

✨ Notably, this marked the first time 8 members of our organization were officially registered, gaining access to UN premises and attending formal Human Rights Council sessions.
