During this past Ramadan, the Organization for Sudan, together with its dedicated partners, carried out eleven Iftar initiatives to support vulnerable communities affected by war, displacement, and extreme hardship.
From villages within Sudan to refugee settlements along the Sudan–Chad border, these Iftars were more than just meals. They were moments of dignity, compassion, and الإنسانية — offering relief to families who have lost homes, loved ones, and access to even the most basic necessities.
In areas such as Kummur Algaaleen, community Iftars brought people together, strengthening bonds and restoring a sense of unity despite ongoing challenges. Meanwhile, at the Sudan–Chad border, families who fled from Darfur and Al-Fashir continue to endure life in harsh desert conditions — with no shelter, scarce food, and limited access to water. Women and children often walk long distances each day just to collect small amounts of water, and many children have not eaten meat since their displacement.
Yet, in the face of such hardship, their resilience is remarkable. With every Iftar provided, we witnessed gratitude, hope, and heartfelt prayers from those we serve.
These eleven Iftars were made possible through the generous support and partnership of the Osman Oglu Turkish Organization, the Swiss Muslim Women community, Ather Charity Association, and other committed supporters. Their solidarity has been essential in reaching those most in need and ensuring that the spirit of Ramadan — compassion, giving, and togetherness — reaches even the most remote and affected communities.
Each meal shared was a reminder that no act of kindness is too small. Each contribution helped bring comfort, even if just for a moment, to families facing unimaginable circumstances.
As we reflect on these efforts, we are deeply grateful to our partners and donors who made this work possible. But the need remains urgent.
Your support is more than aid — it is hope.
